We have been slowly cleaning out our 1893 barn, small outbuildings, and various junk piles here on the farm. Most of the time all we find is trash, but every once in a while we find a treasure. Here’s some neat stuff we found in the barn this week.

This is a view of the farmhouse in its first days as the Floyd residence. Something we noticed right away was that the poor house looked like it had been strung up, there were so many wires and cables wrapped around the exterior.

I have had a few people ask me what we raise on our farm, or if we have any livestock of any kind. My response has been that, other than our Yorkie Bella, we mainly deal in chiggers.

I can’t believe I haven’t shown you this earlier. We are so thankful to the Lord for our new laundry room. It is the biggest blessing! I don’t think I ever really appreciated having a laundry room till I had to go without one for over a month.

We had to cut a hole in the plaster wall to get the white washed armoire up those crazy stairs. The landing was just an inch too small. Bummer! What’s one more whole to patch, right?
