It’s hard to believe that one week ago our little princess Avonlee Rose came into the world. A lot has happened since then and the swirl of events that make up her story are something we will always treasure.
Several months ago we wrote out an incredibly long and ambitious list of projects that we wanted to get accomplished before Avonlee’s birth (click on the Farmhouse Tour page to see what we got to cross off). Now progress has come to a beautiful halt. We are excited to spend the next few months enjoying our family and slowing down on the farmhouse reno.
Our precious little gift from God arrived March 30th at 8:54am, weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.
Her name Avonlee Rose was inspired by two of Sara’s favorite books she enjoyed growing up. “Avonlee” is from the Anne of Green Gables series and “Rose” is from the Little House on the Prairie series.
The first time big sister Camdyn saw little Avee she wasn’t quite sure what to think, but was quickly overcome by her charm and started giving her kisses.
We can’t wait to see them playing together!
We chose Psalm 91:4 as a verse that we will pray over her. It says, “He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge.” We are trusting the Lord to protect her and to be a shelter for her in hard times.
We feel so blessed that God would entrust us with the honor of being Avonlee’s parents and we are humbled by this responsibility. We desire for her to grow up to be a woman full of His love.
