Camdyn has finally outgrown her toddler bed, so we gave the girls’ room a makeover. I sold my old dining room table and used the profits to buy them a full sized Victorian bedroom set off Facebook Marketplace. Watch how we also combined hand made pieces, thrift store finds, and good old fashioned creativity to transform this space into a big girl room. As a Mommy this transition has been a little hard for my heart. It seems like just yesterday that the girls were babies.

One of the great things about renovating a home on your own is that you are forced to take it slow. This provides more time to think through all possibilities. When Michael chose to spend some of his saved birthday money on home design software, we were able to come up with a completely new plan for the downstairs layout that more efficiently met the needs of our growing family.
