Last summer, we were so excited to welcome our very first Bryarton-born farm animal. A single fuzzy chick was the adorable, yet pitiful part of our first attempt to raise our own “livestock.” As hobby farmers who both grew up in the country but had spent most of our adult life in the big city, my hubby and I expected to effortlessly raise up our own flock of chickens.
