All summer we have been trying to figure out the best way to repair all of the damage to our neglected farmhouse and barn. We have so many things, including the kitchen, that need to be addressed on such a small budget. However, we are currently spending all of our time and money addressing issues that were hidden behind vinyl and aluminum.

I have been a HUGE fan of the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, since I was very young. My mom read aloud to my siblings and I every morning growing up and the Little House books were always my favorite. I think that is one of the reasons why living on a farm in Kansas sounded so natural to me. (more…)

I had to go to the bathroom during a storm the other night and as you know going to the bathroom at our house includes going out the front door and then back in the kitchen door.
